moving on

Thanks, everybody, for your words of encouragement and good advice. One of my wise friends asked if I ever heard of respecting my elders so that got me thinking. If an elder is someone who is older, then that would be Fig. But if an elder is someone who is higher in rank, then that would be me because I am the aunt. See?

I think the best solution to this problem is to show respect to Fig so that she will show respect to me. That sounds fair, doesn't it?

With this in mind, I, Petra Pot Pie, solemnly swear to let Fig eat her bones without trying to "share" them. That's my first step in showing respect.

That should be easy because I spend most of my time playing alone, anyway. Motch found a new toy for me at a garage sale and I love it, but I can't figure out what it is. It's fun to chew, though, and it won't be long until it joins my other oldies but goodies.

Socks, a Santa hat, and a beetle (now in 3 pieces). I've got some leather shoes that I'm working on, too, and I think you'll like the new and improved look. They need just a little more chewing and then I will show them to you.

You are really good at making short work of your toys.. We do that too. Mom found a yogurt cup in pieces today when she got home. Neither one of us would fess up to who did it!!

Sweet Petra Girl!

You are so STINKIN' cute, I just can't stand it! It's a wonder you're not spoiled rotten, and yet, you are a sweet little Boston girl.

I wish you could come to GooberStan to visit & play with Stella. She'd LOVE to have you come. Think about it, okay?

Goober love,

Hi, Petra!
You took a very good decision!
Is that toy still in one piece?
Sure is nice to keep your old treasures!

Grammie is always looking for toys at garage sales also. She and Motch would probably have a grand day going from sale to sale. You have done a great job on reinventing all those items. Keep up the good work. Remember to treat others as you would like to be treated.

You are welcome to come to the lake with us anytime...
Mom is originally from Wisconsin and her home town is almost under water. She was wondering if you guys are all ok there? She used to work in the Dells in high school so she knows all about Lake Delton, the lake that is now gone..
Her family is on high ground. Just her brother has lost all of his crops that are in the marsh.. He said he was out in the shed building an Ark.

You are quite the little toy shredder, aren't you! Have you ever tried toilet paper tubes? They're great!
