First 2 Weeks

Thank you for coming to visit me; I'm excited to get to know all of my new friends. Before Motch and Tom (PA) came and found me, I lived with my sister and lots of other bostons and pugs. At their house, there were no other dogs, so I spent my time learning to cuddle with the family. Like this.

That was fun...but I was in for a surprise. Even though there were no other dogs in my new house, I discovered I had a niece and a nephew, named Fig and Tad. They think they're my cousins, but they're really my niece and nephew. Anyway, I loved Figgy right from the start because she played with me. Like this.

I don't know why, but Tad wouldn't even look at me. He ran the other way when I tried to say hi. Maybe he thinks I'm too much like Fig...I don't know...but when we're together, we're not really together. This is as close as we get.

Since you guys have known Tad longer than me, can you tell me what I should do so he'll learn to like me? Fig has been telling me some things about him; I wonder if I should believe her...

Hmm I just think it may take awhile for Tad to warm up to you Petra. Your new and he's sometimes afraid of new things. Oh and as for Fig. You should probably only believe half of what she says about Tad. If even that much. :)

all you have to do to get tad to like you is to hide one of your bones so motch can't put it away before he comes to visit and then give it to him in secret. he's CRAZY about bones but he never gets them.

BUT! this will make him sick, so you're gonna have to think of some excuse for him, or he'll think his sickness is due to you! tell him fig gave him food poisoning or something.

BOL...Massah in law's comment is too funny. Well Petra, Tad will eventually warm up to you. I think he is mistaken that you are a mini-Fig, and sometimes Fig isn't always nice to him (even tho deep down inside she loves him --- I think). So like Peanut said, let Fig teach you how to be the best BT ever but don't listen to everything she says about Tad...and just be patient with him. He'll come around. Who wouldn't because you are just too darn cute!!!

Lots of Licks, Ruby

Hey Petra,

SO glad you have your own blog. Listen to Fig, not only is she a beautiful and gorgeous but she is extremely intelligent. You couldn't ask for a better role model.

Hi Petra! You are so pretty! I read about you on Tad's blog...I think if you give him kisses he will like you more. Don't believe everything Fig says!

Petra Girl!

I'm with Ruby. She's my goober girlfriend and she's very wise. Let Fig teach you all about being a Boston (and how to wriggle treats out of Motch & PA ~ she's a pro). When it comes to Tad, well, just give him some time. He's a snuggler, so maybe you could wait for him to fall asleep and cozy on up to him. If he wakes up with you spooning next to him (keeping him warm with your puppy heat) he might change his tune even quicker.

Hope that helps! I'm rooting for you. Tad's the Best!

Goober love,
Stanley

Hey, Sweet Petra!

You are GORGEOUS and bootiful and perty. You also look like you know how to think for yourself and have some sass. Wanna be my fren? I would love to have a mini Boston girl to hang with (my bruzzer, Stanley, dates Ruby and I like her, but I don't know her very well yet).

Come by and leave me a message to let me know if you want to hang with me. I hope you do. I'm sending you tiny gooby kisses regardless!

Your new goobette pal,
STELLA

Wallymelon! It renders him helpless and you'll be friends for life (or at least a few seconds)!

Good luck!

Petra, Fig is a Boston and YOU are a Boston. Tad is a little Chinese man, you think about it and figure out who you should believe???

Dear Petra,

I think he is intimidated by your resemblance to Fig (who is NOT that fond of him). Then again maybe he is just a big wussy-pants.

My advice is to give Tad some carrots and then maybe he'll come around. Treats never hurt, at least!
