coffee roast part one

You guys know that I can make peamutt butter treats, but did you know my dad takes after me and is a cook? Yep, he buys green coffee beans and keeps them in the basement. I'm usually not allowed in this room but the other night, I went down there with my mom (motch) and dad and boy and uncle. My dad turned on the big red machine and dumped some green beans inside.

Round and round they went, changing from green (for Ruby) to cinnamon to brown. Everyone was excited because he hadn't used the machine for a very long time (like over a year).
A few of the beans fell to the ground and I pounced on them before anyone could steal them.

While everyone was marveling over the finished product, I entertained myself.

So we were all happy downstairs, but there was was trouble brewing upstairs.

Stay tuned for the rest of the story...

After eating the coffee beans were you bouncing off the walls. Mom says there's no way she woudl let me have any kind of coffee product because I'd bounce off the walls even more than I already do. I have no idea what she means by that though.
I can't wait to hear the rest of the story!

Grammie says, "Moco I wish I could smell that coffee." She loves to drink coffee. Hot and cold. We are hoping that you don't get like Grammie after she has had a double shot.

Did your beans jump before they changed colors? We've heard about a strange breed of beans that do that . . . it might be worth looking into!

Can't wait to hear the rest of the story...

I can almost smell the coffee here in Pittsburgh. I've never tasted it before but Mom drinks like 20,000 cups of it a day.

That's a cool hobby that your Pop has, Petra. Shelly is the connoisseur of coffee in our house. If mom or pop leave their cup of Joe unattended, she usually sneaks a sip or two!

Our dad loves coffee. Mom likes to smell it but not drink it. She's a weirdo. I can't want for the rest of the story.
