two news items

OK, everybody, I have 2 news items to share and the first is happy and fabulous news: Tadpole has accepted the Presidential nomination of the International Doggie Party! Yes, he has officially entered the campaign and HE WANTS TO BE PRESIDENT! Take a look at his phenominal speech. I can sleep better tonight, knowing my future is in His hands as the IDP leader.
One of the reasons it's important for me to get my sleep is because, sad to say, I have to go have the "surgery" done. You know, the one where they take my insides out. It sounds kind of like Humpty Dumpty when he took a great fall but I won't fall and I will be put back together again. So anyway, I found some bandaids and some kind of wrap to help hold me together when those stitches are in, and I also found my santa claus hat to chew as comfort food (the wrap things tastes good, too, actually) because I'm a little nervous. Motch and PA are taking me to where they found me on Friday night and the operation is going to be on Saturday morning. I get to come home on Saturday night if all goes as planned.

I am a little scared but mostly excited because I get to see my doggie dad and some of the dogs I lived with before. I hope I get to play with them before they cut me with the knife.

I know many of you have already been through this, so if you have any advice to share, I'll gladly listen.

Hello, Campaign Manager! I'm so glad you accepted my implied, forgotten invitation to join my campaign! It's gonna be GREAT!

Unfortunately I've never had my girl parts removed, so I can't offer any advice. Miss Piggy said she got lots of attention and extra snackies when she had the "surgery" so it can't be ALL bad....

Petra I hope your insides come out easily and there are no complications. Make sure Motch tells us how you are doing.

Petra, don't worry...you don't need those girly parts to be a little Diva. When I had mine out, it didn't slow me down a bit! I was a maniac they day I came home.

Good luck...let us know how it goes.

I'm with Lola and Ruby on this one - I don't think I even noticed the surgery or the stitchies and I do not miss my girly parts. Good luck with the surgery!

Petra Girl!

Even though almost everydog has to have this surgery eventually, you only have it once, so I understand why you're a little nervous.

Just relax, girlie, and try to stay positive. I bet you'll be home sooner than you think!

Goober love & healing goober smooches,
Stanley

Oh, Sweet Petra fren!

I haven't forgotten about the tag, but I can't think of hardly anything now cept you going in for surgery.

I'm sending you lots of goob kissies to heal you right up. I don't remember anything about my girl surgery, or I'd give you the scoop. Clover is right, though. I don't miss my girl bits either.

Keep me posted on how you are, and give your MOtch mama a kissie from me too (you know how mamas can be... worry worry worry).

Goobery love,
Stella Bean Latifah

Hi Petra Pot Pie!
According to Paris, "the" operation is no big deal. The only thing you'll notice is the extra treats they give you when you come home.
Can't wait till you tell us how it all went.
Sugars,
Mack

Sweet Petra,

It's a sad day in any dog's life, but you know what? If you think you're spoiled now, JUST WAIT until you get home on Saturday night. You won't even believe the love and attention you'll receive. Don't bother begging for food right away though 'cuz they aren't allowed to give you anything until all the drugs wear off (the drugs are awesome too, btw). Hang in there and let us know how you're doing when you get back!

I really don't remember getting my parts out. Mom says she rememebers Sasha getting her's out very well. Mom is a big worrier and Sasha is her baby. Mom said Sasha kept wanting to play so she kept giving her treats and chewies and cuddled a lot. Mom said she didn't get anything else done while Sasha was recovering because she was focussing on Sasha so much.
Good Luck!
I'll get Mom to work on those flyers right away!

I think the boy bits removal is easier than girl bits so I dont know what to say except LOOK REALLY PATHETIC after to get as many treats as possible. We will be sending good vibes your way!
